Captured with a single stereo microphone by recording engineer S. Husky Hoskulds, the all-acoustic performances trace a line through the American songbook –with stop-offs to European dancehalls, Guatemalan ports of call, Brazilian airport lounges and Southern juke joints: as zigzagging a route as if navigated by Sly Stone from the backseat of Jack Ruby’s 1963 Lincoln Continental.
